    loshu turtle

The ideal position places a supportive mountain behind you - known as a tortoise or turtle.
The tortoise also represents longevity.
Legend states that the lo shu diagram was discovered on its shell - the numbers 1 to 9 gridded in a sequence that is one of the foundations of feng shui calculations.

  Recommendation types

Each Feng Shui solution is unique as it results from unique individuals and properties. However enhancements and cures can be broadly categorised:

P o s i t i o n ,  P o s i t i o n ,  P o s i t i o n

Arrangement of site, on site, within sites. Paths, doors, windows, furniture - how does energy arrive and flow to and within the structure. How does energy leave. Auspicious orientation, auspicious entrances. Avoidance of harmful neighbouring structures.

Yin and Yang - too much too little, too fast too stagnant, too warm too cool, too heavy too light, positive negative

Q u a l i t y

Type of Qi may be distilled to five basic elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, water and the cyclic promotional or confrontational interactions between them recommends an object element for balance, for example something metal to drain too much or negative earth. Qi type is read in substance, shape, colour, method of action, also smell, taste, sound. If unseen its quality may be calculated. A fire object may have qualities of light, heat, radiance, angularity, red colour, bitterness, also spirit, passion, getting to the heart of the matter, enlightenment, intelligence, standing out, needing fuel, attachment-adherence, joy, laughter, flowers and so on.

C o n c e p t u a l

Messages in the type of images or structures/forms around you.
For example:
  • Pictures of single unhappy people can be replaced with happy pairs/couples for someone seeking a relationship.
  • The space that is often occupied by strong women may have a strong tiger formation or right hand side.
  • Windows peeking over your fence can be masked so that you are more at ease in privacy and less likely to feel at the mercy of gossip.

Talismans that promote positive aims.

Correlation to Yi Jing Hexagrams may suggest quality or form of remedy.

Broken or dirty belongings are an expression of negative energy that drains you. Clutter represents stagnancy (as opposed to ordered collection or useful storage). Excessive hoarding is related to fear that the universe will not provide. Where this occurs can be related to issues in your life.
Making room for the new invites opportunity and of course surrounding yourself with whole, healthy and beautiful items improves your environment.

What energies are available to you now?
One part of matching or tapping the environment to meet the occupant's aims is defining elemental energies suited to an occupant from their birth date. Other aspects of time are considered: type of energy in spaces can be derived from building construction and occupancy dates combined with direction. Including time (philosophically a heavenly or unseen energy) in Feng Shui creates a balance of heaven-man-earth resources.
